Summary

This course is provided as an overview of the newest edition of the Peabody Developmental Motor Scales 3 (PDMS 3). The PDMS 3 is the most widely used outcome measure in pediatric PT in both school-based and clinical settings. Topics covered include the following: 1) An overview of the new updates to the PDMS 3, 2) Improvements to the PDMS 3, 3) Administration of the PDMS 3, 4) updated normative sampling and psychometric properties, 5) administration of the PDMS 3, and 6) an overview of online scoring and reporting. This session will assist participants and subsequent work sites in decision making in ordering and implementing the new PDMS3 in their clinic.

Upon completion of this course, the attendee will be able to –
• Critically review the PDMS 3.
• Describe the Improvements to the PDMS 3.
• Identify the benefits/challenges with administration and the new online scoring of the PDMS.
